About Sara
Writing has been a central theme in my life since childhood as I was both an avid reader and writer. My love of language led me to study writing and literature at Chapman University. While I realized that I was passionate about writing, I was equally passionate about people. Individual growth and development, and the psychological underpinnings of how learning takes place, led me to pursue a master's degree in education from Azusa Pacific University and a Professional Certificate in Educational Therapy from the University of California, Riverside.
I have taught writing in both public and private schools, but my real interest lies in working one-on-one with clients, both children and adults. I established my private practice over 20 years ago and continue to marvel at the complexity and capability of each student who walks through the door.
I write for and with students in session, believing that when an individual task is collectively engaged, the overall quality is higher. I also write my own curriculum, enjoying the flexibility to tailor lessons to the individual student.
In addition to my private practice, I lead creative workshops for my company Live Mandorla.
